Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.

Review available client information from intake form or records. 
Prepare self, treatment area and equipment for providing treatment in accordance with organisational protocols. 
Clearly outline how the remedial treatment will be provided and managed, based on assessment and agreed treatment approach. 
Discuss with client the possible reactions to treatment and how to respond if any occur. 
Follow work health and safety (WHS) standards and organisational protocols to physically prepare the client for treatment. 
Confirm client informed consent for remedial treatment in accordance with legal and ethical considerations. 
Apply remedial treatment techniques according to treatment plan. 
Continually monitor and adjust treatment according to client feedback and response. 
Position client to optimise comfort and support while allowing for optimum application of techniques. 
Maintain client dignity through use of draping. 
Maintain efficient and effective use of own and client’s body position and movements throughout treatment. 
Maintain client-focused attention throughout treatment. 
Reassess client post-treatment. 
Provide information and practical techniques to client that support the remedial treatment plan. 
Support client independence and discuss client’s role in achieving treatment outcomes. 
Respond to client enquiries using language the client understands. 
Use honesty and integrity when explaining treatment options, schedules and recommendations to the client. 
Document all treatment and findings including post-treatment recommendations.
